To be fair, this girl has been on our radar for some time. Meet Edition Farm's Ouchy Night:
Ouchy Night is a 3-year-old filly trained by Tom Bush. She's by Cactus Ridge, out of Minetonightsfirst.
Get it? We think her name is pretty genius and were reminded how much we like it because she ran in Belmont's first race today, finishing fifth. We think she's a fitting ambassador for our new feature and while her name is obviously a clever combination of her dam and sire, when we come across an interesting name without a clear origin, we'll check it out. Suggestions welcome!

Hello Belmont Park Insider!
We are very happy to see that you decided to put out a blog.
We just started our blog at the beginning of this month.
We write articles on handicapping angles and we have the Morning Line Favorite Report, as well.
On our blog, we do the Morning Line Favorite Report only for the NYRA Circuit. No other tracks.
Eric Donovan does the morning line for you, and we give his ML Favorite a rating, depending on what we think of the horse...and the Second ML Choice as well, every day you have live racing.
We have been playing the NYRA races for over 30 years now.
We are also a 10 minute drive away from Belmont Park.
We have even adopted your colors...
When you're running Belmont, our blog is green.
Blue and red for Aqueduct and Saratoga as well.
We're kind of new to computers and it wasn't that easy for us to start a blog.
But just so you know, we started with the exact template (Rounders 3), that you are using now.
Take a look at our blog and see how we turned this template around.
You'll be amazed at what you can do to it!
We noticed your Title Photo is off.
That's ok...it took us over an hour to fit ours in.
We learned all this off the internet. Very helpful!
It would also be very nice if you could add a Racing Link Directory, just like we did.
Matter of fact, as soon as we're done posting this, we'll add a link to your blog on our homepage (you'll see it)...we already added one to NYRA.
Maybe, if you're kind enough, you can reciprocate, by adding our link onto your blog as well.
It's good for both of us, traffic wise, as we have some good outbound links, and real good inbound links, from horse racing sites that get a lot of traffic...even though we just started.
We know you're well established, but every little bit helps.
We do not sell anything on our blog. It is all free!
We would really like you to visit us and leave your comment with us, or on this post.
Please let us know if you like our blog, and if you would consider the link swap we mentioned above.
Our Blog Title is: Horse Racing Handicapping Angles and Morning Line Favorite Report
Our Name is: Horse Racing Reports
Our Address is:

Thank you so much for your time and consideration, and do a good job on this blog...we know you can!
We love NYRA!
Yours truly,
Horse Racing Reports
I don't know if this one counts, but I just named my yearling filly "Tall Priority", which is her future trainer's name scrambled. (LARRY PILOTTI) It isn't obvious but I thought it was clever!
